Telecast Communications uses the latest in fixed-wireless broadband technology to offer fiber-like speeds to homes and businesses. Utilizing wireless communications, we are able to deliver blazing-fast speeds to our customers while keeping our services very affordable.
OUR STORY
Rural areas in Kentucky are among some of the most beautiful, peaceful, and enjoyable places to live. But with those luxuries, there's always a negative, and we've found it to be the lack of fast, affordable, and reliable broadband.

When we first did our research to find out what costs are associated with underground fiber optic cable, we were blown away. The average cost of an underground fiber deployment is anywhere between $20,000 and $25,000 per mile. With the number of areas that are struggling with getting reliable internet, the option of doing fiber optics were out of sight.

Then, we had an idea. Why couldn't we use wireless technology to branch out our network over the air, just like mobile providers? The costs would be a fraction of a fiber optic deployment, and we can go as far as 25 miles between tower locations, so what did we have to lose?
​
So, we had a plan. 6 months of research and knowledge-seeking went into formulating our initial buildout in Hodgenville. We secured a business loan, purchased the equipment, and off to the races.

Today, we provide service in five counties covering more than 230 square miles, delivering speeds well over 100 megabit to homes and businesses in our coverage area.
